Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Able to cruise over land or water at speeds up to 40 knots and carrying up to 60 tons of payload, the Japanese version of the US-built LCAC (Landing Craft, Air Cushioned) greatly expands the capabilities of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
Surpassing its excellent 1/144 versions, Pit-Road's 1/72 LCAC kit features fine molding and exquisite detailing throughout, with photo-etched metal parts included to enhance the detail even further. The air cushion is rendered in a very soft black rubber. Includes a big sheet of decals and a full-color decal placement and painting guide (all text is in Japanese). A joint project with Trumpeter. An excellent kit of an interesting subject!
