This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's F-2 fighter was developed as a multi-role fighter that performs ground attack missions in addition to anti-ship attacks, but with the introduction of this aircraft, GPS and INS (inertial navigation systems) are used in combination with conventional bombs. JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition), which is a device that adds precision guidance, will be imported as an F-2 equipped weapon. In addition, it is possible to operate domestically produced FLIR pots (forward looking night vision devices) from late production aircraft of the F-2, but in this limited-edition kit, four 500-pound bombs (GBU-38) are equipped with the JDAM, FLIR pots, and pylon parts on the outside of the main wing.
