This model kit from Platz reproduces the F-15J Eagle in commemorative paint that appeared at the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Nyutabaru Base Air Festival on December 5, 2022!

The flagship F-15J Eagle is based on the U.S. Air Force's F-15C, which began actual deployment in 1974, and is equipped with the JASDF's own equipment, including a link system. Unit deployment started in 1982, and it still plays a role as the main force in Japan's air defense. Commemorative paint schemes are often produced and displayed at air festivals held at bases that operated the F-15J; this aircraft, seen at the JASDF Nyutabaru Air Festival held on December 4, 2022, drew a great deal of attention wirth the silhouette of Musashi Miyamoto with two swords on its tail, the back of the aircraft, and the tank.
