This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Super Yamato battleships were the 798th and 799th ships planned by Japan's Fifth Replenishment Plan, envisioned in the late 1930s. The ship type was not a completely new design, but rather an enhanced development of the Yamato-type battleship. The original plan was to install three 51cm-gun triple turrets on the Super Yamato type battleships, but it was difficult to design and manufacture the 51cm triple turret, so twin guns were adopted instead to reduce weight. The main gun was developed under the name of "trial instep gun," and in 1942 the main parts, including the two guns, had progressed to the point of just before assembly, but due to the importance of aircraft warfare in World War II, the large warship cannon principle became outdated, and the construction plan of the Super Yamato-type battleships was canceled. In some materials, it is stated that the completed gun was requisitioned by the U.S. military after the war.
This model kit from Beaver Corporation comes with photo-etched parts and decals for one version; a base is included too. Order yours today!
