This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
This 1/72-scale model kit from Platz recreates the F-35A Lightning II flown by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force! The parts are made by Italeri, and decals are included to reproduce the markings of the 303rd Squadron, deployed to Komatsu Air Base as of April 2024. A set of exclusive photo-etched parts is also included to sharply enhance details in the cockpit and on the aircraft's exterior. The weapon bay hatches can be built either open or closed.
