Description
This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Zero Model 32's engine was upgraded from the previous "Sakae Model 12" to the "Sakae Model 21" with a two-speed supercharger. This resulted in a completely redesigned cowling, significantly improving both maximum speed and climbing ability. Furthermore, a new wing platform was added, with the wingtips squared off and shortened by 50cm to improve maneuverability. This change significantly altered the aircraft's silhouette, making it so distinctive that it was mistaken for a "new model" by Allied forces immediately after its deployment in combat.
This model kit from Fine Molds is molded in three colors, and includes decals for the aircraft flown by ace Ito Koyoshi, who served in Guadalcanal and New Guinea and shot down 30 aircraft, as well as the aircraft from the aircraft carrier Zuikaku's squadron, and the aircraft of ace Hagiri Matsuo, nicknamed "Hagiri the Bearded."
