Description
This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Fw190A was an outstanding fighter, but due to repeated refurbishments, the weight increased and the increase in engine output was limited, making it inferior to the new Allied fighters. In particular, the BMW air-cooled engine had a severe drop in output at high altitudes, making it difficult to intercept bombers. Therefore, the liquid-cooled engine mounting was tested, and the Yumo engine-mounted type was adopted as the D type. Although the engine replacement suppressed the decrease in output at high altitudes and was considered promising, it was already unable to make a big contribution due to a lack of fuel and veteran pilots.
