Description
This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The F4F-3, which was officially adopted in 1939, has fixed wing that make it difficult to handle on an aircraft carrier, and the U.S. military had increased the number of aircraft on aircraft carriers due to the lessons learned from the Battle of the Coral Sea. The F4F-4 was designed with folding wings, meaning five F4F-4s could be stored in the same width occupied by two F4F-3s. The F4F-4 carried the same Pratt & Whitney R-1380 "Twin Wasp" engine as the F4F-3.
