Dutch M39 Panzerwagen Armored Car
The Panzerwagen M39, also known as the DAF Pantserwagen Model 3, was a 6x4 armored car manufactured for the Royal Netherlands Army in the late 1930s. The M39 featured a modern design for its time, with a fully welded monocoque hull and sloped armor. Its turret mounted a relatively powerful 37mm gun, making it lightly armored but capable of high speed and excellent cross-country performance.
When the Netherlands was invaded in 1940, only a small number of these vehicles had been deployed, and they saw limited action before the country's defeat. After the Dutch defeat, German combat units used captured vehicles under the designation Panzerspahwagen DAF 201 (h).
