Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The Dornier Do J Wal ("whale" in German) flew for the first time in 1924. It was a high-wing floatplane with two vertically-aligned engines. Because the top of the fuselage and wings were made of corrugated metal, it was sturdy and was used not only by the military, but also by many commercial airlines. Japan Airlines Transportation Corporation imported one Wal produced in Italy in 1927, and this became the first passenger flying boat. Two more were purchased that had been assembled by licensed production at the Kawasaki Shipyard, and these were used for the Seto Inland Sea route between Osaka and Fukuoka.

This kit will be approximately 24cm long with a wingspan of 31.3cm when completed.
