The Bucker Bu181 Bestmann is a one-shot trainer produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Bucker since 1940. The engine is an air-cooled four-cylinder 105hp version manufactured by Hilt. A steel pipe frame structure was used just for the fuselage cabin, with a wooden outer structure. In addition, a wooden frame and upholstered structure were adopted for the rudder and ailerons. In addition to being used as a primary training aircraft by the German Air Force in World War II, it was also used as a ground attack aircraft equipped with Panzerfaust. It was also widely used outside of Germany, by Croatia and the Czech Republic. About 3,400 of this aircraft was produced, and it was active for a long time after the war.
This model kit set from Stransky includes parts for two aircraft; each kit is highly detailed down to the seats and instrument panels in the cockpit. Transparent parts are included for the canopy; this limited edition includes decals for six versions and masking seals for the Luftwaffe camouflage pattern and the canopy frame. Order yours now!
