Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The BTR-4 is a wheeled armored vehicle developed in Ukraine.
Like its counterparts in other countries, it has amphibious capabilities.
It was developed by the state-run O.O. Morozov Kharkiv Machine-Building Design Bureau and unveiled at Aviasvit 2006 in June 2006.
The BTR-60, 70, and 80 armored personnel carrier series had an engine room at the rear, but the BTR-4 has a layout that is changed from the front to the front, with the crew room, engine room, and troop/cargo room.
As a result, the side hatches of the vehicle have been eliminated, and personnel board and disembark from the top hatch or the hatch at the rear of the vehicle.
The engine is a 3TD diesel engine manufactured by the German company Deutz.
Derivatives such as armored personnel carrier, command vehicle, reconnaissance vehicle, armored recovery vehicle, armored ambulance, and self-propelled mortar have been developed.
Plastic kit released by IBG, Poland. Includes slat armor for HEAT protection.
