This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Mach 2's Bell X-1A/B kit. This is a typical Mach 2 kit, meaning low-pressure injection parts with lots of flash. Still, with careful parts cleanup and lots of test fitting and adjusting before committing to glue, one will be rewarded with a kit of an unusual type that is not likely to be available elsewhere in styrene. Perhaps the "not suitable for children under 36 months" warning is overly optimistic.
