This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The B-10 is a bomber independently developed by Martin for the U.S. Army Air Corps. It was an all-metal twin-engine aircraft with a bomb tank inside the fuselage -- a novel style at the time. The prototype was tested in 1932, and it showed a maximum speed of 317km/h. It was ordered as the YB-10 in 1933, and the mass-produced model was assigned to units in Panama and the Hawaiian Islands from mid-1934. Production continued until the beginning of 1937, and 121 aircraft were produced; since it became obsolete shortly after commissioning, it retired from the front line of the U.S. Army around 1939. The U.S. military aircraft that had been deployed to the Philippines immediately after the outbreak of World War II were captured by the Japanese Army; some of them were transported to mainland Japan and used for testing, later being exhibited at Haneda Airfield and other places.
This kit includes decals for two U.S. Army Air Corps versions.
