This is an injection-plastic detail parts set for use with aircraft kits.
The BAT is the world's first self-guided bomb, developed by the U.S. military at the end of World War II. Development began in 1942; it was a radar-guided system equipped with an automatic tracking system that automatically hits the target by capturing the reflected wave with the radar provided on the nose after launching from the mother aircraft. It was completed in 1945 and was deployed in actual battle, but due to the nature of its guidance method, it could not be used on undulating ground; it could also not be accurately guided if there was a shield such as a dock nearby, making its usage quite narrow. It was first used by the U.S. Navy's PB4Y-2 on Japanese ships in April 1945, with 2,580 produced by the end of the war. After the war, it was used on the P2V and F4U, but development was completed in 1953.
This model kit comes with parts to build two ASM-2Ns and two trolleys. Each bomb comes with two types of vertical stabilizers (early and late). Order yours today!
