This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
This kit from AVI Models is a completely new mold, and is available in limited quantities! The O-1 is a military version of the Cessna 170 light aircraft manufactured by Cessna of the United States, and it was used as a liaison and observation aircraft. Nicknamed Bird Dog, before the unification of the three military air branches in 1962, Army aircraft were called L-19 and Marine Corps aircraft were called OE. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force received a loan of a L-19A from the U.S. Army and used it as a liaison aircraft, but Fuji Heavy Industries obtained a license from Cessna and mass-produced it as the L-19E.
