Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The helicopter-mounted escort ship Shirane was commissioned in March 1980; she was the largest escort ship at the time. After undergoing refurbishment in the 2000s, she retired in March 2015; her successor is the Izumo.
This kit from Pit-Road can be built as a full-hull or waterline model; parts are included to build her as she was seen after her refurbishment in the 2000s, or her final appearance in 2015. New decals for the ship sign and helicopter deck are included, as are color photo-etched parts for the flag, flagpole and nameplate. An in-scale SH-60J anti-submarine patrol helicopter is also included. Order yours now!
