This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Colorado class, which was planned for 1916, was scheduled to be improved at the beginning of the Tennessee class but was equipped with a 16-inch gun for the first time as a U.S. battleship to combat the Nagato type battleship of Japan. The USS Colorado was commissioned in August 1923, and was assigned to the Pacific Fleet, to exert pressure on prewar Japan. In the summer of 1941, she underwent some refurbishment, and thus escaped the Pearl Harbor attack; after that she participated in the war against Japan, and fought until the end of the war, receiving some damage along the way.
Can be built as full hull or waterline model; will be about 27.2cm long when completed. Includes parts to reflect her post-refurbishment state (added bulge in hull, removed rear basket mast, etc.). Also includes two OS 2U Kingfisher observation seaplanes and photo-etched parts.
