Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The West Virginia was commissioned in 1923 as a 16-inch (40.6cm) gun-mounted battleship. She suffered major damage during the attack on Pearl Harbor, but she was repaired and refurbished. The kit reproduces the bulge of the hull, the tower bridge, and the chimneys remodeled into a single unit. Includes two SC-1 Sea Hawk floatplanes, plus photo-etched parts for cranes and catapults, as well as flags, flagpoles and a ship nameplate. Also comes with 8 brass gun barrels! Can be built as a full-hull or waterline model; will be approximately 27.2cm long when completed.
