This is a plastic model assembly kit recreating one of the world's first nuclear-powered naval vessels.

It replicates the U.S.S. Long Beach, the first nuclear-powered cruiser designed and built after World War II, in a 1/700 scale. The model depicts the Long Beach as it appeared after its refurbishment around 1980, known as a unique cruiser with no sister ships, later constructed as a "cruiser hull." The kit intricately captures the differences from the Long Beach of the 1960s, such as the removal of the Talos missile launcher and the installation of the Harpoon missile launcher.
The kit includes a separate hull part, allowing you to choose between a full hull type or a waterline model type for assembly.
The upper structures on the deck, including the distinctive box-shaped bridge, are precisely recreated with intricate details. The delicate representation of antennas and masts enhances the overall finish.
