This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

The largest warships in the world (excepting aircraft carriers), the Russian Navy's 'Kirov'-class cruisers are both nuclear- and steam-propelled. Originally intended to be anti-submarine vessels, the Kirov design was modified to allow these cruisers to provide air support, engage surface ships, and to act as anti-submarine naval defense. After the fall of the Soviet Union, the Kirov was renamed 'Admiral Ushakov' and remains under that name today. Pit-Road has collaborated with Trumpeter Models to produce this beautifully-detailed injection plastic kit of this huge cruiser. Excellent decal sheet provides markings for the Soviet Navy Kirov, and the Russian Navy Admiral Ushakov. This special set contains additional stainless Photo Etched parts for radars and truss structures. Those parts are too much delicate for the injection plastic. PE parts will greatly enhance the sharpness of the finished model, especially effective at the top sail radar, the most attracting point where everyone's eyes are caught.
