This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The H.M.S. Invincible was commissioned in 1980 and remained active until her retirement in 2005. She was the first of her class, and her carrier-based craft was the Sea Harrier vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Her full displacement is 22,000 tons, and her total length is 210 meters. It was agreed to sell her to Australia in 1982, but the Falklands War broke out that same year. She was dispatched to the Falklands as a member of the 317th Task Force, and her use of the Sea Harrier was highly effective and attracted attention. She was subsequently modernized and refurbished several times, and took part in the Yugoslav and Kosovo conflicts until she was retired in 2005.
2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War, so Dragon is bringing back its model kit of the Royal Navy aircraft carrier H.M.S. Invincible! Her unique deck design with a ski-jump platform and her bridges are accurately modeled; the shape of the hull is firmly reproduced with this full-hull model. Photo-etched parts are also included, for parts such as the radar antenna installed on the bridge and the deck railing. A stand for display is also included. Don't miss out, order yours today!
