Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The second ship of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's first helicopter-mounted escort ship Haruna type, Hiei was put into service in 1974. The Haruna herself and two improved Shirane-type ships have been in operation for a long time. Hiei retired in 2011 after about 37 years of service, succeeded by the 2009-built full-deck Hyuga.
This model kit can be built as a waterline or full-hull version; the full-hull bottom part includes various satellite communication antennas. An SH-60J patrol helicopter is included, as are photo-etched parts for the flag, flagpole, and ship nameplate. Order yours today!
