Description

This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

The DDG-179 "Maya" was commissioned in March 2020 as the third Aegis destroyer in the Maritime Self-Defense Force.

Equipped with the latest ballistic missile defense capability (BMD 5.1) and the latest Aegis system, as well as the Maritime Self-Defense Force's first CETPS (joint engagement capability system), each capability has evolved dramatically compared to previous Aegis ships.

With its improved stealth capabilities, it is the largest destroyer in its class, except for the helicopter-carrying "Hyuga" and "Izumo" types.

The "Maya" was painted in conventional paint when commissioned, but later it was painted in low-visibility low-visibility paint.
