Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Shikinami was put into service in 1932 as the twelfth special type destroyer. She belonged to the 19th Destroyer Corps along with the Isonami, Uranami and Ayanami, and at the beginning of the war took part in the Battle of Sunda Strait in 1942 and the Battle of Solomon in 1943. She was active in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea and the escort of the transport fleet, and sank in the South China Sea in September 1944 due to an attack of the U.S. submarine Growler.
