This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
1/700 scale Japanese Navy Heavy Cruiser Takao (Operation Sho-ichi, 1944)
New parts have been added to recreate its appearance during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, featuring enhanced anti-aircraft armament, including 21, 22, and 13 number radars, and numerous single-mount machine guns.
This product is an unassembled and unpainted kit requiring adhesive assembly and painting. It is in 1/700 scale and represents a maritime model excluding the bottom of the ship.
It consists of a combination of existing (Special Series) molds and newly added mold parts. The product specifically depicts the appearance of the lead ship of the Takao class, "Takao," during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October of Showa 19 (1944).
Constructed with numerous dedicated parts such as the reduced bridge and the rearward-shifted rear mast, which were features of the pre-war modifications unique to Takao and Atago.
