This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

Aoshima's "Waterline" series 1/700-scale model kit of the Japanese Navy destroyer Yoikuzi, the tenth ship of the Akizuki-class destroyers, has been renewed with even greater precision! The outfitting parts have been newly researched and designed; by incorporating numerous slide mechanisms into the molds, the intricate details at 1/700-scale are accurately reproduced.

Completed in January 1945, the Yoizuki is also referred to as a Fuyutsuki-class ship due to modifications made to simplify construction, such as changes to the air intakes around the chimney, and the shape of the hull below the waterline at the bow. After the war, she served as a repatriation ship, and was handed over to the Republic of China Navy as a war reparation. 

The Waterline-series Yokizuki features a well-designed parts configuration, making it easy to assemble while accurately reproducing the ship. Various outfitting parts, including the 10cm high-angle gun -- a characteristic feature of the Akizuki-class destroyers -- and enhanced anti-aircraft machine guns have been added with new molds and a new design. The newly molded parts include:
