1/700 FH34EX-2 Japanese Navy Aircraft Carrier Zuiho (1944) Full Hull Model with Pre-painted Flight Deck

A second release featuring the complex camouflage pattern on the flight deck pre-printed and pre-painted.

• Structure & Features
  This is a glue-assembly kit using molded parts.
• Painting is required except for the pre-painted flight deck.

Product Details

• Based on the appearance in October 1944 (Operation Sho-1).
• Features an extended flight deck forward and final configuration with the No. 13 radar mounted on the mast.

Hull

• The hull is split into left and right parts.
• The hull bottom is separate at the waterline and molded as a single piece.
• Delicate sculpting around the entire hull to replicate external wiring conduits.
• Separate parts for hangar (upper and main deck) rear passage, supports, capstan and secondary anchor at stern.
• Detailed 3D sculpting of sponson undersides, reinforcement ribs, and other fine details.
• Bridge deck and aft boat deck reproduce linoleum flooring texture.

Flight Deck

• Unlike the regular version, the difficult camouflage paint is pre-painted.
• The flight deck consists of two parts (front extended section and rear), connected by an unobtrusive expansion joint.
• Elevator position can be chosen between raised or lowered.
• Separate windbreak fences add realism.
• Fine sculpting captures expansion joints, wooden deck patterns, and split camouflage.

Fittings

• Most sponson parts are separate for detailed reproduction.
• The funnel is two-piece with separate exhaust lattice grills for depth effect.
• The auxiliary funnel is molded as a single part in the upright position.
• Radio antenna masts are two-piece, allowing choice of erected or folded state.
• Gun mounts and rocket launcher fittings are included for bow, stern, and both sides.

Scale & Assembly

• Scale: 1/700, full hull including underwater hull.
• Assembly with glue, painting required except the flight deck which is pre-painted.
• Flight deck camouflage painting is not necessary.

Includes 2 types of aircraft:

• Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Fighter Model 52 (2 pieces)
• Nakajima B6N "Tenzan" Torpedo Bomber (2 pieces)

Extras

• Masking sheet included to assist camouflage painting on hull sides.
• Sheet is pre-printed with camouflage pattern outlines for easy cutting and masking.
• Molded parts use a bright green color (Senkou 22 exterior color) for easier painting.
