1/700 KanNEXT9EX-201 Japanese Navy Battleship Yamato Showa 19 / Operation Sho-Ichi (Includes Etching Parts)
The KanNEXT series presents the battleship Yamato as it appeared during Showa 19 / Operation Sho-Ichi, now featuring etching parts!
This product is modeled after the "Battle of Leyte Gulf," during which it set out alongside its sister ship "Musashi" for the defense of the Philippines. The installation area for the Type 22 radar on the side of the bridge is depicted in its pre-relocation state. The stern's jib crane and aerial support structure, which were removed in the final configuration, are accurately represented in a form distinct from that of Musashi. The anti-aircraft command station is provided with bonus parts, including binoculars. The machine gun mount located at the front of the funnel is depicted in its state before the additional installation. The hull parts feature closed portholes, with specialized parts provided. The flag representing Admiral Kurita's presence on board is included. The etching parts encapsulate fine details that are difficult to replicate with injection parts, including handrails, Type 21 and Type 13 radars, a direction finder, and ladders.
The product is designed as a snap-fit assembly that requires no glue. The main components are expressed in color-separated plastic parts, while some color tones are replicated using high-quality surface-following realistic stickers.
Please note that due to monitor and image resolution issues, the appearance of colors may differ from the actual product.
