This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Takao, the first of the Takao-class heavy cruisers, was commissioned in May 1932. She underwent modernization in 1938, including downsizing her bridge. She participated in many major operations after the war began, but she was damaged by the American submarine Darter during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944, and the war ended while she was moored in Singapore.
This model kit from Pit-Road is a waterline version, and can be built in either Takao's 1942 configuration, or her appearance in 1944, with increased anti-aircraft weapons. One each of the Type 0 water observation aircraft and Type 0 water reconnaissance aircraft are included. Order yours today!
