This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Ukuru class of ships were used for fleet escort and antisubmarine patrol; 20 vessels of this type were commissioned from 1944-5, developed from the Mikura type. This one is equipped with 16 Type 3 depth charge throwers, a 12cm high-angle cannon, and 25mm triple- and single-unit guns. Includes another model of a 17-meter boat as well; both are waterline kits, and the Ukuru will be about 11.3cm long when completed.
