This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

Fujimi brings back its excellent 1/700-scale model kit of the Japanese Navy battleship Kongo from 1941 -- this time as a full-hull version with photo-etched parts included! A display base is included; the lower part of the hull is composed of integrally molded parts, and the screw part and rudder are separate parts. Six 25mm continuous machine guns contain both conventional one-piece structure parts and more precise two-piece type parts. The 25mm machine gun consists of two pieces, and the gunmetal of the barrel and the hull color of the base are painted separately to make it easy to reproduce. The molding color of the carrier-based aircraft is gray. Decals that include the Hinomaru and national flags of the carrier-based aircraft are included too. Photo-etched parts are included to express even the smallest details that are difficult to reproduce with injection-plastic parts. Photo-etched parts include handrails, ladders, and boat davits.
