Description

This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.

With a flat flight deck on top and opening doors on the back of her lower hull to launch landing craft, the Akitsu-Maru looks a lot like the modern US Navy Wasp-class amphibious assault ships. Except this one was built over 70 years ago by the Imperial Japanese Navy! This nicely detailed kit from Aoshima comes molded in grey plastic. Includes aircraft, gyrocopters and even two 1/700 scale Type-97 tanks! Decals and two small brass rods so you can display it with aircraft flying above the ship are also included.
