Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
Duke of York is the third ship of the King George V-class battleships. She was launched on February 28, 1940, and commissioned on November 4, 1941.
From the moment of commissioning, she was assigned to high-ranking personnel transport and fleet escort missions. At the Battle of North Cape in 1943, she played a major role in the sinking of Scharnhorst.
Duke of York received three battle honors for her wartime service. After the war, she became the flagship of the Home Fleet and was decommissioned in November 1951.
