Description
This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The Bismarck, equipped with four twin 38cm gun turrets as its main armament and surpassing a standard displacement of 40,000 tons, was commissioned in August 1940. At that time, it held the title of the world's largest battleship. It was intended to be the centerpiece of the German Navy alongside its sister ship Tirpitz (commissioned in February 1941). However, during the Rheinubung operation in the North Atlantic in May 1941, Bismarck sank the iconic British battlecruiser Hood in the first engagement. Despite this success, it was subsequently subjected to a concentrated attack by the pursuing British fleet and met its demise.
