This is an injection-plastic ship model kit.
The special destroyer Amagiri, which was engaged in transportation missions near the South Solomon Islands in the South Pacific, was with the U.S. Navy's torpedo boat PT-109 (captained by Lieutenant John F. Kennedy, who later became president) at midnight in August 2, 1942, and collided with her shortly thereafter. This diorama set includes the Fletcher-class destroyer DD-450 O'Bannon, which was deployed in the same area. Includes the following:
- Amagiri (approximately 16.9cm long when completed)
- O'Bannon (approximately 16.4cm long when completed)
