The sci-fi drama series "Star Trek" was first broadcast in the U.S. in 1966, and has evolved into a franchise that continues to live on as a legend in television history. Illustrator Shunya Yamashita has designed the latest entry in Kotobukiya's "Bishoujo" figure lineup -- the "Star Trek" Command Officer! This captain-ranked officer is seen in an action pose, taking command of a landing operation with a Type 2 phaser in one hand and a newly sculpted handheld communicator in the other. As a nod to fans of the classic 1966-69 TV series, her base has been sculpted to represent the rugged territory of Vasquez Rock, a famous filming location frequently used in the series -- particularly in the episode where Captain Kirk fights against the Gorn in the first-season episode "Arena"!
