This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The B-26 Invader is a twin-engine aircraft developed in the United States and operated by the U.S. Army Air Forces and Air Force. In 1944, it was deployed to combat units under the name of A-26 as an attack aircraft, but when the U.S. Army Air Corps became independent as the U.S. Air Force in 1948 after the end of the war, the attack aircraft frame was abolished due to a change in model classification. The aircraft was changed to a bomber and renamed the B-26 Invader. After being put into action on the Pacific Front during World War II, its firepower, high-speed performance at low altitudes, and maneuverability were evaluated, and it was mainly used on the European front and contributed to the victory of the Allied forces. After the war, surplus aircraft were provided to allied countries such as France, and the U.S. military was also introduced to the First Indochina War and the Korean War while undergoing renovations as needed. In the Vietnam War, it was renamed to the A-26 again and was put into missions such as night attacks on the Ho Chi Minh route. This is the only U.S. military aircraft, excluding transport aircraft, that survived World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
This model kit is a re-release of a kit released by Monogram in 1967 with new decals and package art. It features wing guns and rockets, detailed landing gear, a pilot figure and a clear canopy. Order yours today!
