The Toyota Corolla/Sprinter, widely beloved as one of the world's top mass-produced cars, has long been distinguished for its sports models featuring DOHC engines, known as Levin/Trueno. In the AE85/86 series introduced in 1983, the names Levin/Trueno evolved to represent both 2-door and 3-door body styles. The AE85/86 series, sold until 1987, remains highly popular as the last FR (front-engine, rear-wheel-drive) models.

In the TLV-NEO lineup, the 2-door Levin was introduced in 2023, and now a new variant has been added. Post the 1985 minor facelift, changes included updates to the front grille, bumper, and tail lights. Choosing the optional sports package added a rear spoiler and side mudguards, significantly altering its appearance. This time, both pre-facelift and post-facelift models of the AE86 top model GT-APEX are offered in new colors. The N304c is the post-facelift model in the classic white/black combination. The now-rare standard configuration also offers a fresh perspective.
