In 1985, the 328 GTB appeared as the successor to the 308 series. The basic style by Pininfarina was similar to the 308, but the parts were refined, and the engine was expanded to 3.2 liters based on the 308. The 328 was the last model to use the traditional transverse midship layout, and it is still very popular today.
