The two-dimensional monster Gavadon (A), from episode 15 of "Ultraman," "The Fearful Cosmic Rays," is now joining the 1/6-scale "Special Effects Series" of soft-vinyl figures from CCP Co. Ltd. as a completely new model!

Gavadon (A) is a monster based on children's drawings; as you can see, it's not a belligerent monster, and spends most of its time asleep. Even after being hit by missiles from the Science Special Search Party and having its tail cut off, it continues to snooze without concern, and eventually disappears at night. That night, children add to the picture, and the next time it appeared as Gavadon (B) with a completely different look. When it eventually fought Ultraman, the children asked Ultraman not to kill it, so Ultraman took Gavadon out to space; after that, Gavadon became a star in the universe that was visible during the Tanabata season. 

This beloved monster has an impressively round and soft appearance, detailed with fine wrinkles and scratches; details verified from the suit used in filming have been added, down to the peephole molded into the eye. The front legs and the soles of the feet have been thoroughly recreated based on limited reference material, and the figure is carefully painted a pale yellowish color with light gradation. The figure is colored slightly differently on the left and right, as seen on screen, and the impression of sand is expressed with dirty paint to reflect the realism of crawling on the ground.
