In the spring, she exchanged poems and paintings with her lover, but now she feels the loneliness of the fall, as in the poem by Naran Seitoku: "Life is just a first glance; what is the autumn wind and the sad paintings?" The delicate design of this figure expresses the poem's scene; her red dress enhances her graceful silhouette, and her sad expression reveals her hidden feelings. She picks up her brush, but she cannot put them into words, and she's left with her emotions flowing quietly as the autumn chill draws in.
