It's been a lonnng time in the works, and that time was put to good use: Intended in celebration of the 40th anniversary of manga classic "Ashita no Joe" (and at last coming out for the 42nd anniversary of its first chapter's publication on 12/15/1967), here comes the ultimate statue of hero Joe Yabuki!
This painstakingly produced tribute, crafted in polystone, is based on an iconic illustration by "Ashita no Joe" artist Tetsuya Chiba, expanding that piece of upper-body art into a 1/6-scale vignette placing Joe on the Namidabashi--the "bridge of tears" that sheltered the Tange Boxing Gym shack--with neighborhood fan Sachi (minus her wooden geta, so you know she's flung them at someone who earned some high-velocity shoes to the head!). This statue is about 29cm high, in colors matching those of Chiba-sensei's illustration (a limited version in a different color scheme has also been produced, linked below). A must-have for fans of this immortal manga!
Please note that the photos shown are of a prototype; the production version may vary. Also, figures such as this are mass produced and as a result some inconsistencies in finish and painting may occur; these are not considered manufacturer's defects. If you absolutely must have perfection, prepare to do some touch-up work on your own.
