This figure is a completely new mold and new modeling. As portrayed by Robert Duncan McNeil, Paris is modeled realistically down to his facial expression; his outfit is faithfully recreated from the 24th century Starfleet duty uniform jumpsuit and Starfleet boots. A magnet is sewn into the uniform, so the tricorder and phaser holsters can be attached and detached. He's highly posable, too, with more than 30 points of articulation!
