This is a completed toy designed for children.

An absolutely amazing toy piano from Sega Toys! Although it's pretty hard to refer to this magnificently reproduced grand piano as a mere "toy"...the craftsmanship is astounding, and best of all, it plays music! Each tiny 4mm key plays an accurate note, just as on a real piano (you'll need 4mm wide fingers to play it, though), but the real magic is that this amazing replica plays all by itself, with 100 great piano classics pre-installed (including classical, jazz, showtunes, and pops), and a capacity to play even more with its SD card slot. You can download more music from the Grand Pianist website (as well as see a movie of the piano in action and see lots of other information...mostly in Japanese...see below) onto an SD card and play them on the piano. The music has been specially selected for this product by celebrated Japanese violinist Taro Hakase.

The keys move realistically and accurately when playing the pre-installed and downloadable music. The internal monaural speaker provides a very natural sound, too! There are input and output jacks as well, allowing you to run the sound through larger speakers, or to play music from outside sources through the piano (the keys will move to any music, as long as it's loud enough).

Some easy assembly with a screwdriver is necessary, but all the electronics are in place and ready to go. The piano mechanism itself is like an electronic digital piano, so there are no hammers physically striking strings as on a full-size piano. Powered provided via an AC adapter (included). Piano bench and cloth key cover included! Instruction manual is in Japanese.
