This is a posable action figure of a character from science-fiction/anime.
As seen in Frank Miller's classic comic "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns," Superman now joins the "Comic Masterpiece" collectible action-figure lineup from Hot Toys!
"Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" was published in 1986. After retiring from the role of Batman ten years prior to the comic, Bruce Wayne, now 55, returns to fight crime in Gotham City, despite his aging body. Superman, also now 55, is subservient to the government in order to continue his heroic activities, and he will face his old friend Batman as his ultimate antagonist.
Superman is recreated as a high-end 1/6-scale action figure, standing approximately 34cm tall and featuring over 30 points of articulation. Two newly developed interchangeable heads are included; the first has a clenched mouth, and the second features a bleeding, clenched-teeth expression. Both heads feature movable eyeballs and a black light-reflecting mechanism. Each part has been hand-painted to recreate the distinctive wrinkles and texture of the skin.
The newly developed body expresses Superman's muscular, massive physique unique to "The Dark Knight Returns"! The vibrant blue-and-red costume features meticulous attention to detail and materials, including the iconic Superman logo on the chest, yellow belt, red trunks and boots, and is exquisitely crafted down to the finest detail. The cape has a built-in wire for added movement.
Weapons include a kryptonite-tipped arrow and a distorted sonic gun. Use the various interchangeable hand parts to enjoy a variety of action scenes! The included base is specially designed with a plate featuring Superman's name and the title of the comic.
