Description
This is a posable action figure of a character from science-fiction/anime.
Hot Toys brings a battle-damaged version of Batman, as seen in Frank Miller's classic 1986 comic "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns," to their "Comic Masterpiece" action-figure lineup! The comic depicts the return of the 55-year-old Bruce Wayne, who retired from the role of Batman ten years earlier, to fight crime in Gotham City despite his ageing body.
This high-end figure expresses the massive, muscular physique unique to this depiction of Batman; it features over 30 points of articulation, and two interchangeable heads are included. The first is a newly developed head featuring Bruce Wayne's scarred, unmasked face, with a movable eyeball gimmick allowing you to change the line of sight for a lifelike presence. The second head wears the familiar Batman cowl, and it has three interchangeable lower face parts so you can vary his expression from scowling to shouting to gritting his teeth. Each one is hand-painted to recreate Batman's distinctive wrinkles and skin texture.
His battle-scarred blue-and-gray costume features meticulous attention to detail and texture, from the torn Batman emblem on his chest to the soiled hem of his fabric cape and his bloodstained utility belt. The cape has built-in wires for dramatic motion. When the bare-faced head is attached, you can recreate the masked version by attaching the cowl part around the figure's neck.
The figure is armed with weapons including a batarang, a batarang with a rope, and a rifle. The base is a special edition with a plate featuring the title of the comic, too.
