This item is a completely new mold! BelAZ is a Belarusian manufacturer of various transportation and civil engineering machinery established in 1948. A recovery tractor is a vehicle that pulls and moves vehicles that become stuck due to trouble. It's equipped with a Cummins KTA50-C engine, and can tow broken vehicles thanks to its over-1,600 horsepower. A counterweight is attached to the front to assist with towing especially large vehicles; due to its reliability, stability and sturdy structure, it is widely used at sites such as large open pit mines.
This completed die-cast display model reproduces the BelAZ 74131 recovery mine truck in 1/50 scale. The counterweight on the front and the powerful arm mounted on the rear are reproduced with great accuracy; the rear arm can be moved, too. Stairs leading to the operator's cabin and the handrails are also delicately modeled. The front wheels can be steered, and the tires feature a realistic tread pattern.
