This is a fixed-pose resin-cast figure kit.

Keiko has done it again, with a beautiful 1/5.5 scale (yes, that's an odd scale!) kit of Suzumi in a pretty one piece dress, gently wringing water from its hem. I have to admit that I rushed out and bought this as soon as it was released and I was not at all disappointed. The sculpt is of course wonderful, with soft curves and realistic proportions bringing Keiko's original character to life; the woman is an artist. The castings by Kurushima are, as is to be expected, near perfect, with amazing parts breakdown (13 parts) to make painting as simple as possible; and the parts fit is nearly flawless. Surfaces are excellent with very little excess resin (I really want to know how Kurushima does that!). Don't let this little girl slip by -- did I say little? At 1/5.5 she's the biggest Keiko sculpt that's come by here, and she's a pretty hefty piece o' resin! Please note that the translucent effects of her 'wet' dress are accomplished through clever painting techniques -- there are no clear or translucent resin parts in the kit.
