This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The OH-13 Sioux was a light helicopter that began development after World War II, and was deployed to the U.S. Army in the late 1940s. It featured a unique bubble canopy, truss frame tail boom, and two side tanks. It had three seats, and could attain a maximum speed of 170km/h. Many of this aircraft were used for observation and reconnaissance during the Korean War. It was used not only by the U.S. military, but also by countries around the world, including the UK, France, Germany, india, and the Japanese Self-Defense Forces.
This 1/48-scale model kit from Italeri features mechanisms molded in detail, including the distinctive canopy, truss frame tail boom, and side tanks. The engine is reproduced in detail too, down to the cylinder cooling fins and exhaust pipes. In addition, the cockpit, which can be seen clearly even after completion through the transparent canopy, is also reproduced in great detail, including the control stick. Markings for six versions include the U.S. Army, UK Royal Flying Corps, Spanish Navy, Italian Navy, Australian Army and West German Air Force. Place your order today!
